For the future of our planet it is essential for the fashion industry to become more environmentally friendly. R2 Amsterdam is therefore taking considerable steps towards sustainability. For example, we print our designs mostly on organic cotton. And our uni-coloured white, light blue and navy blue fine twill shirts are made of organically grown cotton too. By investing in organic cotton, we contribute to healthy agricultural soil and safe working conditions.
It becomes more and more prominent in our collection: organic cotton. But why should you prefer organically grown cotton over ‘normal’ cotton? Because organic agriculture does not use harmful, chemical pesticides and therefore does not leave the soil depleted or infertile. What is more, organic cotton is beneficial for you too: it is softer and more breathable and – without the remnants of nasty substances in the fabric – better for your skin.
