Article 1 – Introduction
These Terms and Conditions apply to all R2 gift cards, physical and digital, issued by W.F. Retail B.V. (“R2”, “we”, “us”), Jacob de Graeflaan 2, 1181 DN Amstelveen, the Netherlands, Chamber of Commerce no. 63132168. By purchasing, receiving or using an R2 gift card, you agree to these terms. The R2 General Terms and Conditions also apply.
Article 2 – Validity
Gift cards are valid until the expiry date stated on the physical gift card or in the digital gift card email. After this date, the gift card can no longer be used and any remaining balance expires.
Article 3 – Redemption
Gift cards can be redeemed at r2.amsterdam only. The following conditions apply:
- Enter the gift card code at checkout.
- Gift cards can be combined with discount codes and promotions.
- Gift cards cannot be used to purchase other gift cards.
Article 4 – Balance & Partial Use
A gift card can be used for multiple purchases until the balance is used up. If your order exceeds the balance, you can pay the difference with any available payment method.
- Digital gift cards: check your current balance via the link in the original gift card email.
- Physical gift cards: contact our customer service via r2.amsterdam/pages/contact.
Article 5 – No Cash Value
Gift cards cannot be exchanged for cash, either in full or in part. Digital gift cards issued instead of a refund can be converted into a refund on request via customer service, provided the gift card has not been used and the request is made within 7 days of the gift card being issued. The amount originally paid will be refunded; any bonus amount will lapse.
Article 6 – Loss, Theft & Damage
Treat your gift card like cash. R2 is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged gift cards and will not replace them.
Article 7 – Returns
If you return an item paid for (partly) with a gift card, the amount paid by gift card will be refunded to the original gift card. Amounts paid with another payment method are refunded to that payment method.
Article 8 – Right of Withdrawal
You may cancel the purchase of a gift card bought at r2.amsterdam within 30 days of receipt, provided the gift card has not been used. To cancel, contact customer service or see r2.amsterdam/pages/cancel-your-order.
Article 9 – Fraud & Misuse
R2 reserves the right to block a gift card in case of suspected fraud or misuse.
Article 10 – Changes & Applicable Law
R2 reserves the right to amend these terms. The terms applicable at the time of purchase or issue remain valid for that gift card. These terms are governed by Dutch law. This does not affect any mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence.
