This season, we’re expanding our polo collection with a new style in a modal-cotton blend. Now we all know cotton, but what exactly is modal? And why does this polo deserve a place in your summer wardrobe?
Modal is often referred to as ‘silk modal’, and for good reason. This semi-synthetic fibre, spun from beechwood pulp, is soft and smooth like silk and has the same luxurious look. It also absorbs moisture extremely well, helping you stay dry and cool in summer. In a blend with cotton, you get the best of both worlds: the softness and luxurious feel of modal, and the durability and longevity of cotton.
At R2, we believe that even the basics in your wardrobe deserve a subtle accent, a personal detail or something a little unexpected – what we call The Twist. This polo is a perfect example. It’s basic enough to pair with everything you already own, but the difference compared to a standard cotton polo is instantly noticeable.
