The days are getting shorter and the evenings are turning cooler, which can only mean one thing: a new collection built for the season ahead, as always With a Twist. As you'd expect from R2, comfort and style go hand in hand: this season brings everything you need to move confidently from warm afternoons into the first chill of the evening.
For this autumn/winter collection, we drew inspiration from Earth: the strength of stone and soil meeting the softness and depth of water. You'll see it first in the collection's colour palette, which moves between deep, dark shades and warm, light nuances.
That same tension returns in our prints. This year it's carried by the presence of a 4x4, a symbol of rugged strength and adventure, combined with organic floral motifs, for an intriguing balance between power and refinement. Fresh accents and vibrant pops of colour break through the warmth of darker tones for a dynamic play of contrasts throughout.
What we're perhaps most proud of this season is our choice of materials. Think 50% wool in our checked shirts, soft and breathable modal in the new knit overshirt, and rib corduroy finished with press-stud buttons for a small detail that changes how a piece feels. And for the days that haven't quite let go of summer, our seersucker edit layers just as easily as it stands alone.
Finally, everything in this new collection is easy to mix and match. Start with a merino t-shirt and add the overshirt when the evening turns, or introduce the new half-zip for a piece that works layered or worn alone. This season also brings our travel jacket in burgundy, a deep tone from the darker half of the palette.
