Knit fabrics have more stretch than woven fabrics and are usually more comfortable to wear. However, cotton can shrink or twist in the wash when it is knitted. That is why cotton is more often woven and most of our 100% cotton shirts are made of woven cotton as well. After all, this fabric is stable and retains its fit.
In order to obtain the comfortable stretch of knitted cotton, but not compromise on fit and quality, we also work with fabrics in which cotton is combined with technical yarn. Technical yarn is an artificial fiber that gives knitted cotton that same stability as weaving does. This allows you to wash your item in the washing machine without having to worry that it might lose its shape. Besides, adding technical yarn reduces wrinkling and makes ironing a lot easier.
